Who We Are

About RealWorld Mental Health Solutions

Founded by a practitioner who remains on the front line, ensuring every service stays rooted in reality.

Our Story

Training and consultancy rooted in genuine clinical experience

RealWorld Mental Health Solutions was founded from a simple conviction: that the gap between evidence-based practice and real-world implementation in mental health services is too wide, and that the people best placed to close it are the practitioners who work at the frontline every day.

Born from years of direct clinical experience across NHS Community Mental Health Teams and Early Intervention in Psychosis services, RealWorld exists to bring the insights, frameworks, and practical tools that practitioners actually need into the hands of organisations striving to deliver better care.

We know what it feels like to search for training resources that speak to real clinical complexity, not sanitised textbook scenarios. We know the pressure of managing risk, navigating legislation, and supporting people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Everything we produce is shaped by that lived professional experience.

The people best placed to close the gap between evidence and practice are the practitioners who work at the frontline every day.

Founder, RealWorld Mental Health Solutions

Our Mission

Empowering mental health organisations and practitioners with the knowledge, tools, and support they need.

To empower mental health organisations and practitioners with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, culturally responsive care. We believe that excellent mental health practice should not depend on geography, budget, or luck. Every practitioner deserves access to resources that are grounded in real-world experience and current evidence.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Six commitments that shape every piece of work we deliver.

Practitioner-Led Credibility

Everything we create comes from frontline experience. We do not teach what we have not practised.

Evidence and Integrity

All our resources are grounded in current research, legislation, and professional standards. We never cut corners on accuracy.

Cultural Responsiveness

Mental health services must reflect the communities they serve. We embed cultural competence into everything we do, not as an afterthought but as a foundation.

Real-World Practicality

If it cannot be used in a busy clinic, a home visit, or a team meeting, it is not good enough. Our resources are designed for the realities of practice.

Collaborative Partnership

We work with organisations, not on them. Sustainable improvement comes from genuine collaboration, not imposed solutions.

Accessibility and Inclusion

Knowledge should be accessible to all. We design our resources to be clear, inclusive, and available across languages and formats.

Our Approach

Rigorous expertise, practically delivered

We combine deep clinical expertise with innovative production methods to deliver resources that are both substantively rigorous and visually engaging. Our training packs, practice manuals, and interactive tools are developed using the latest evidence, mapped to professional standards and NICE guidelines, and aligned with current legislation including the Mental Health Act 2025 amendments.

We work across NHS Trusts, local authorities, third sector organisations, and private providers, delivering training, consultancy, and practice development support nationally from our base in Greater Manchester.
